There is no such thing as casual Christianity in the last days. We are either burning with the fire of the Holy Spirit—or we are being consumed by the fire of compromise. I don’t say that lightly.

I could not live this life in my own strength. I desperately need the Holy Spirit.

Every ounce of strength. Every bit of power. Every shred of discipline I have to walk in holiness—it’s all Him. Holy Spirit.

This isn’t just a theological idea for me. It’s survival. It’s breath. The Holy Spirit is the difference between me standing in victory or collapsing under the weight of spiritual warfare, trauma, and pressure.

Filled for Power. Filled for Purpose.

The infilling of the Holy Spirit is not a denominational accessory—it’s a divine necessity. In Acts 2:4, the first believers didn’t receive the Holy Ghost to feel a spiritual high. They were filled with fire to preach, to endure persecution, and to shake nations:
“And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”
– Acts 2:4 (KJV)

This same empowerment is available to you today. And when the Holy Spirit fills you, He doesn’t just make you emotional—He makes you effective.

The Power of Praying in Tongues

Tongues aren’t weird. They’re weaponized worship. They’re a divine code between you and the throne of Heaven.

“For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.”
– 1 Corinthians 14:2 (KJV)

Paul doesn’t discourage tongues—he practiced it constantly. He even said:
“I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all.”
– 1 Corinthians 14:18 (KJV)

Why? Because he understood the secret strength it brings.
“But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost…”
– Jude 1:20 (KJV)

This is the spiritual gym. This is how we train for the battlefield. When I don’t know what to pray, when my soul is overwhelmed, when the warfare is too heavy—tongues rise up from my spirit and give my burden to God in perfect alignment with His will.

“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities… the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”
– Romans 8:26 (KJV)

Prayer Language vs. the Gift of Tongues: What’s the Difference?

Many believers confuse the personal prayer language with the public gift of tongues.

Here’s the distinction:
• Your Heavenly Prayer Language is for personal edification. It’s the language the Holy Spirit gives you when you’re baptized in Him. It’s private, intimate, and doesn’t require interpretation. Paul says:
“He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself…”
– 1 Corinthians 14:4 (KJV)

• The Gift of Tongues, on the other hand, is one of the nine gifts of the Spirit found in 1 Corinthians 12. It’s a public manifestation meant for corporate worship and always requires the gift of interpretation to edify the body:
“But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.”
– 1 Corinthians 14:28 (KJV)

Think of it like this: Your prayer language is like breathing—constant, personal, life-sustaining. The gift of tongues is like a trumpet blast in the congregation—strategic, public, and aimed at edifying the whole church.

One thing that I will always do is point you to the Bible. I don’t want you to take my word for it. I want you to search and understand the Scriptures for yourself, so that you will not be misled by false doctrine.

Let Him Fill You.

We were never meant to survive this walk with willpower alone. You need the Holy Spirit. You need His fire. You need His language. Don’t settle for a dry, intellectual faith when rivers of living water are available to you.

Ask Him. Yield. Wait. And when He fills you—pray. Pray in your understanding. Pray in your spirit. Pray until breakthrough comes.
Because it’s not hype. It’s not emotion.
It’s warfare. It’s worship. It’s power.

If your heart is dry…
If your faith feels hollow…
If you’re tired of going through the motions…
Then it’s time to cry out for more.
Not more religion. Not more noise.
More of Him.

You were not created to barely survive the Christian life—you were created to burn with holy fire.
You were made to walk in power.

You were born for intimacy with the Spirit of the Living God.

Right now—don’t wait for a church service, a revival meeting, or a perfect moment.

Make this moment your altar.

Lift your hands. Open your mouth. Lay down your pride.

And ask Him to fill you. Again. Or maybe for the first time.
Let Him breathe on you. Let Him wreck you. Let Him heal you. Let Him baptize you in fire.

Prayer:

Holy Spirit…
I need You.
I am done pretending I have the strength to do this without You.
I’m tired of carrying pain, fear, shame, and emptiness.
I surrender.
I repent of trying to control what only You can heal.
I lay down every wall, every defense, every lie I’ve believed.
I want You.
I want all of You.
Fill me.
Baptize me with fire.
Wash over every corner of my soul.
Let rivers of living water flow from within me.
Give me my heavenly prayer language—
the language of freedom, the language of war, the language of worship.
Burn out everything that’s not of You.
Cleanse me.
Consume me.
Speak through me.
Jesus, You are Lord of my life.
And Holy Spirit, You are welcome here.
Come and take over.
Right now. Right here.
In Jesus’ name, I receive You. Amen.

-L. Abigail Bradeen

If something in your spirit is stirring… If you’re hungry for more but unsure how to step into it… If you’ve got questions—real ones, raw ones—about this power, this fire, this heavenly language…

Message me. I won’t give you fluff. I won’t sugarcoat it. But I will walk with you. I will pray with you. Because I’ve been where you are—desperate for God, aching for truth, and longing to be filled. You don’t have to figure it out alone. Let’s go after Him together.
